career move???

Normal friday, until I got to the office. I woke up the usual time. I don't usually rush on fridays. We have no lates, so no need for rushing. I rode the usual jeepney route, walked the same almost 1 km road I have to tread everyday. Though tiring, I already considered it as an exercise to work out my lazy butt. I arrived at the office at around 9:15 am, our time is 9:00 am, but as I said, there are no lates. I set up my laptop, logged in my phone, logged in to yahoo and checked my emails. Suprisingly a colleague popped me a message and I know it was in a serious tone. I know there wa someting and I was right! My colleague gave up her positon as the admin asst for our hub and I was the next option. Oh no!!!..

"Marielle...Marielle..., let's talk". My manager's voice felt like drumbeats. I know I can't refuse her offer for the position of admin asst. I'm still in a probationary status, obviously I have to be obedient. Declining her offer might give her an impression that I'm ineffective and incapable and that is not good for someone waiting for her regularization.

The only reason I would deny the offer is that I don't like her perfectionist-can't express myself-bahala ka na attitude. It makes me go crazy. She's a perfectionist and that's fine, what I'm afraid of is that she could not express what she wants, lack of words. Also, she's demanding in a moody sense. I have nothing against my manager. She's a good one when she's not in a bad mood that is.

If it won't only be a career ending move to decline the position, I may have never accepted it. But what's a probationary employee got to do? I just hope this adds to my career movement..hehe
