Digital Photography 101

I have always wanted to learn photography and I had my chance when our company held a free 3 day Basic Photography Seminar which started yesterday. It was conducted by Jay Alonzo (www.jayalonzophotography.com). Usually basic photography session takes about 19hrs which is usually done in 2 separate days but for us we only have 9hrs to learn the basic. I don't have a digital SLR and my only resource is a Canon Powershot A540, which fortunately has the basic settings which was needed for this seminar. Many of us wasn't able to attend the seminar because of the work load although the class started after office hours. This was a blessing in disguise for me because a colleague who brought his Nikon D40 didn't attend and he let me use his SLR for the session, luckily he decided to let me use it for the 3 day photo session and in exchange I have to teach him what I have learned in class..hehe

Yesterday's photography lesson sparked up my liking for photography again and this is a bad sign because I have to start saving so I could buy myself a digital SLR..tsk tsk.

Can't wait for tomorrow's lesson!...hehe
